Android TV Box turning off after a few seconds of turning on.

Good day,
First of all I don't know if this was the right category to post this thread on, now, I have a
Yuntab Android TV Box CS918 Q7 and when I hold the button (its red when not working) it turns blue which means its now turning on and in a few moments the desktop will appear.

Problem is before anything can happen (after it's turned blue) it turns red again.

There is a little button below the device with the label "recovery", you can use your finger instead of a toothpick if that makes any difference (idk), I pressed it and also holded it but nothing made a difference.

It worked for around 1-2 years before this started to happen all of the sudden.

They are basically disposable devices, there is little chance of doing any trouble shooting on them beyond what you have done.

My dad is asking me to fix it and says it's possible because pros use usbs and stuff and it's all real easy.
What should I tell him that sounds technical and logical so he understands there is nothing to be done?

The truth. It's not recoverable. I buy them in lots of five for 30 bucks each.
