Good day all. I've been playing Mass Effect Andromeda a lot lately, on medium graphics settings, only to have it start randomly freeze up my system after 130 hours or so. At first I just thought it was a problem with the game itself, but later it started freezing on older games as well(Fallout 4 and Skyrim). Only indication of a problem is occasionally during cut-scenes the screen will get a split second flicker to black, which will continue for 10-20 seconds before stabilizing. At random the screen goes green, purple, or plaid, and I have to do a hard restart to get it back up. No error messages, no temperature spikes on hardware monitor, just total freeze up.
Specs:
CPU i5 3570k @ 3.4 ghz
Asus Pz77-V lk mobo
Corsair CX750m psu
R9 280 3gb gpu (Club3D royal king edition)
So far my conclusion is to replace the graphics card, but I figured I'd put it out there and see if I get any other suggestions. Help appreciated!
