Animated Gifs on tom's hardware

Anyone else finding the recent introduction of animated gifs on this website rather annoying. I'm trying to read story headlines on the main page and these animated gifs flashing around the page are really annoying. From what I've read there's no quick way to stop them in Microsoft Edge. Maybe tom's Hardware can reconsider there use.

I don't know how recent it was as it seems they been available for at least 5 years.

I guess that is recent if you been here since 2005

if you see any that are really annoying, report them and we have a look.

Well to be honest I find almost all of them to be annoying, especially if they really serve no real purpose. Here's one from today. Very distracting/ annoying when your trying to read.
