I would like the Creative X-FI Fatal1ty Pro Gamer Sound Card.

I have an extremely old computer (upwards of 6-7 years old today), and while it's audio quality is good, I actually would like to up it a bit, and when I get a new computer in the coming year or so, I'd like a cheap upgrade from the onboard audio. I currently use a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz dedicated card, use headphones, and not only game as much as possible with this computer, but I listen to streamed music, chat with friends on Vent, and watch on occasional video on here whenever my computer decides it will let me.

My PC is the Dell Dimension 4300, in case you people wanna laugh at my crappy computer: http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/SYSTEMS/dim4300/specs.htm#1101572 http://images03.olx.com/ui/1/74/05/10006905_1.jpg

I also use this headset: http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0207879 . Kinda cheap, but I love it, personally. Really comfortable, good output, and the microphone seems to give out decent voice quality.

I've managed to get XP sp3 running on this thing too, and it does what I want it to do, for the most part. Granted, I wish I could play Half-Life 2 and not just stuck with the first game which I have beaten several times, but ah well.

Cheers~

Well, when my Steel Series V2 headset breaks one day, maybe I will give these a try, they sure are cheaper.

i'd like to post for the SSD drive.

my hdd's are fine, but i would like to give this to my dad. yesterday or the day before, he asked me about my hard drive space and said that he was running out. granted, 32 GB isn't a lot but i just checked how much space is left on his hdd, and there is about 12 GB left.

he just has the stock hdd that came with the HP 4-5 years ago, and never got a new one.

i would like to set it up for him as a boot drive for vista ultimate and maybe put some of his games on it.

thanks for this giveaway :)

Hey Annisman, thank you so much for doing this. I have been a lurker here for awhile on Tom's and just created an account to enter.

I would like, if possible, to win the sound card.

I own a pair of Swan D1080MKII speakers. I am pushing them and my earphones, Victor HP-FX500s, through the on board sound. The problem is that the on board sound is full of distortion at high volumes that my laptop's on board sound doesn't produce, but it also clips sounds below about 50Hz.

I mainly game and listen to music, not much movie viewing on it.

I will post some pictures of my system in a few, my specs are in my sig, and under my profile.

Thanks again!

Sorry for the quality, I can't find the cable to my camera so I had to use my phone, I'll keep looking though.

I guess I can see their reasoning, but all it would take is to look up this thread to verify it, lazy stupid mods.

Well, just a warning then. The boom can be pulled out if you tug hard enough. I somehow managed this, but fixed it with a little bit of that composite glue stuff. It holds as well as if it were welded to the plastic.

I would only put myself in the ring for the SSD as a boot drive addition to my computer, but if having a 9month old 7200.11 WD 500gb HD excludes me, I won't be crushed.

Thanks for being an unsolicited Santa, heh, it is a very awesome thing you are doing. :D

Is it a 'black' version drive ? Or something else.

And, no problem.

Small correction, it is a Seagate barracuda (thus the 7200.11 designation, heh), my last 250gb was a WD, and thus where I was getting confused. Changing my Sig as we speak. Couldn't someone have corrected me before this? I feel like a chump :(

I'd say, while it has a large capacity, it is not particularly high end, so I will gladly enter you into the drawing for the SSD.

Thanks dude, again, it is a pretty swell thing you are doing. I do the same thing on a smaller scale, as I have friends who can't afford upgrades, but want to do more with their PCs, so my old parts are usually gifted to someone who can benefit from them. Cheers, and Merry Christmas to the lucky recipients.~

First (and this is in no-way meant to influence your decision;) ) I'd like to say that this is an awesome and generous thing you are doing here.

I'd like to enter for the SSD. I'd use it as my Primary boot partition to speed up both the loading of windows and probably have a little space to put a slow loading game or two on. (just finishing STALKER S.O.C but this is on STEAM, so I can't move this, but I have Stalker C.S. sitting on my 'to play pile, and this is a physical disk, so can be installed where-ever I choose, this would be my choice of game).

Good luck to every one!
