What's that old saying? "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me"
Well the game industry has fooled consumers more than 87 times already and it's never going to stop until people stop paying to be test subjects.

To Pre-Order Crowd:

A refund on a product that is not even out, yet? Explain to me again, the decision process of why you choose to pre-order, in the first place?

You get what you signed up and payed for. I have little tolerance for pre-order grievances, sorry.

pre-order from amazon.. they dont charge your card until it ships and you still get all the goodies.

that's how all pre-orders should work. Digital platforms are the only ones that take your money right away. so punish them.

I agree with you. Why people want pay money of their own to be beta tersters. if it cost 5 buks then I would understand. I willing pay for game after demo.

Anyone pre-ordering Ubisoft games on PC deserve this sting. I hate pre-ordering in general now. Once upon a time, it was to show the developers your faith and loyalty in their product, but now it's a developers way to shove an unfinished game onto the gullible public.

Only game I ever pre-ordered was Company of Heroes 2, and that experience was something of a lesson. It was even more telling because Relic had a track record with me personally, in terms of making very solid games that I liked. To say I was underwhelmed with CoH 2 was an understatement, and the $66 pre-order was not worth it, especially considering that the game had gone down to $40 after a few months, and a year later, I saw it as low as $20 for a Steam seasonal sale.

What surprises me are people who get burned over and over, yet keep pre-ordering these games. If it's your first time getting shafted, OK, but after that, there's no one to blame but yourself.

By the way.......

!! DANGER !!

Ubisoft

!! DANGER !!

As far as Anno goes, never really played any of the games in the series, but I am keeping my eye on this one. After the steaming pile of crap that was SimCity, I'm still looking for a replacement for SC4. SC4 still has massive re-playability, but damn if it isn't starting to look dated.

This means cancel your pre-order because the game is terrible, and they don't want you to tell people that once you would have had access to beta.

i like being able to preorder games, if only because it makes christmas so much easier.
im an adult, if i want something i get it with my own money,
opening up preorders a half year in advance is nice for me because i can get birthday and christmas things without it needing to be out right now. but than again i come from a family that insists on a list.
