Nice. Was a fun romp. Though strangely puzzleless..........

Nobody is allowed to download this (excellent) work.

It must NOT be played.

In fact, it doesn't even exist.

Neither do we.

If *you* discovered that there was a secret conspiracy to make everyone
speak English, you wouldn't get very far spreading The Truth if you only
did it in Lojban, now would you?

I thought not.

I appear to be one of the Companions of the Twelve Guardians.

I am not worthy.

But *thank you*, Ike Cooper. My years of strife have not been in vain.

I don't know how significant it is; but the only recent poster here or in
r.a.i-f with the same NNTP-Posting-Host is Allen Garvin (who announced a Z3
Zcode to Inform decompiler at the end of last year).

Anyway, to whoever did write it, nice job!

It's not I. I post through Dave Cornelson's Plover. There are at least
20 or 30 other IF people who accounts on the box, though I don't know
how many use the local NNTP server.

Bah. Lies, all lies, I tell you. Surely a great non-puzzle-based game
like this could have no connection with such a thing.

Nice game. :)
I particularly appreciated the "drop book" text-dump! :)

Nice to see you finished it. Nice ending too!

(Nice that you have to move to Zimbamba and change your name and stuff....)

First, I enjoyed. Much. (But one of the names on the list: Shouldn't
it have been LPS not LS?)

Then, a nitpick: This game and _Madrigals of War and Love_ have an
annoying similarity, which is that you can't choose "None of the
above; say nothing" in the conversation menus. I like having that
choice.

Also, it occurs to me that this could be a clue as to Ike Cooper's
SEKRIT identity. But I will have to leave it to someone wiser
(perhaps more pet-free) than I am to investigate.

Well, there are one or two places where you can say nothing... but
yeah, point taken. "Press 0 to say nothing" is a default option in
phtalkoo.h, but I removed it here. My excuse for restricting
player freedom *this time* is:
- I wanted the conversations to be as fast-paced as possible,
with no awkward silences
- I wanted to characterize the PC as a guy who always tried
to speak his mind
Okay, that's two excuses.

Stephen.
