Hello! I recently picked up this monitor from my brother because I've also upgraded my graphics card and now I can handle a second monitor. The only problem is, this monitor was put out of use by my brother because it has a small fault, and even though I knew about it, I just wanted to check with the forums here in case there's a fix to it, or at least learn if the problem is permanent/technical-related. I briefly searched the internet about this problem and apparently this guy had the same problem as me, so I'm gonna use his picture because it's essentially the same, I just have a different brand of monitor. Black Stripe

So that guy's monitor is an acer one, but mine is an Eizo FlexScan L675. The stripe and its location is the same. I don't think it's the cables because I use different cables from my brother and he had the same problem. Thanks for the help in advance.

typically LCD monitors have an auto correct mode in their menu, usually an option simply titled "auto", which supposedly will cause the monitor picture to fill the screen if it's not calibrated well.

some LCD monitors have manual calibration options. Check windows to make sure your monitor is being identified properly with the correct native resolution. if it is not, then you have a cable issue or a serious monitor fault. Try replacing the cable.

if none of this works then you have a monitor fault that cannot be fixed.
