Recently I have just replaced my AMD Radeon HD 6670 with a better graphics card (AMD R9 380), now I will say this has increased my game performance a lot better then before, but one irritating thing that has happened is that it makes this annoying buzz/screeching noise. I looked up what this kind of thing is and it is called a "Coil Whine".
Now I've been told if you enable vsync within the settings menu it'll make the noise go away, I did that and it made less of a noise but not all of it went away and it was still annoying and distracting, not only that, not all the games I play have the option of enabling vsync which is a real kick in the balls.
I looked up where the coil whine may be coming from within your computer, the motherboard, the power supply, the graphics card. So I decided to try and figure out where it is coming from by playing a game where I get the coil whine, then take off my earphones so I can have a listen out. So I did this and I hear quite a loud noise coming from inside my PC (sound of a fan), that would normally make noise as a program is activated and it was indeed quite loud. I tried determining where the noise is coming from but I can't tell, but from my efforts of hearing, I think it is coming from the top area of my computer.
If anyone knows a way of fixing this, please inform me.
