Honorable
Does anyone else find the moderators in the hardware forums to respond with a great deal of smugness and often don't actually answer the questions? I often read the following from people with questions: "should I purchase GPU A or Gpu B" and the response typically is "you should buy GPU X and btw your system is a piece of garbage".(some poetic license but you get the idea) Apparently some of the responders have no concept of someone on a severe budget! In addition, when they read a response they disagree with, rather than a simple explanation of why they disagree, they find it necessary to disparage the writer. So in the future, please answer the question at hand and of course add in additional commentary in a non confrontational manner. Always keep responses and questions civil PLEASE.

They truly have responded and in some cases, fiercely. Me thinks, they doth protest too much!

So where do you work?

Mind if I go there, run up and down the halls yelling "drkatz sucks because he is mean to everyone" and then when someone asks me to provide a few examples say "I don't have any I just know thats how it is".

You will just be sitting back in your office ignoring it right?

No examples have been provided and it's fundamentally unfair to ask people to defend themselves from a subjective impression unsupported by any evidentiary backing.

No, you're smelly! (LOL, it's a joke.) Even if solid links could be provided, they would be a tiny amount of the threads we are in. Not to mention everyone has an off day. IF you feel a mod came down too heavy on "you" then by all means ask another mod for help. If you are completely lost as to why something happened asking someone else for help/understanding is totally ok.

As I stated earlier, If any of our members have issues with a moderator or a moderator response, please feel free to submit a complaint to community@tomshardware.com with date, name of moderator, and a description (with links) of the issue. Our staff investigates all complaints.

OP has stated his opinion.
Mods have seen it (and people higher up the chain) and responded.

Maybe time to lock it? Topic like this one is a magnet for trolls and thrash talk down the road. All it takes is for 1 to get offended in some shape or form.

I agree and disagree with the poster. I'm not going to post a mod's response to a question about why something happened. The mad was very rude. Not in an overt way but explained absolutely nothing. Basically don't do that or get banned(for how long idk. I tried to figure out exactly what I did wrong. After 4 or 5 exchanges I finally figured out where the mod was coming from but I simply gained a dislike for that mod because of the approach and the assumption on the mod's part.

That however was one time. I've been with Tom's for years but only for about a year or two solid all together where I was active. Where there are people there will be (censored) who shouldn't be where they are. They however are in the extreme minority and I understand that. Look to the big picture and not to the underbelly. When there is a valid concern you can always eMail Tom's staff members who are paid. Simply creating a thread about your issues is imo closer to a rant devoid of facts(links to the posts with the offensive mod) to back up your claims. All posts are open to interpretation.

I've been banned once for grapes which is so frigging vague and I had no clue at first. That's since 2011. If you have a problem please contact Tom's. And if you are going to post a discussion such as this it's best to uncheck the Request Answers box while you're composing your post. That way it will post as a discussion. I somehow doubt there is a best answer for your issue.
