I had a very stable and reliable system until recently. I have a few months old windows installation, and a couple of weeks ago I noticed, that my mouse cursor stutters. Games (like Heroes of The Storm) also stutter and lag and even YouTube videos.
It is mostly only stuttering, but the system also crashed two times.
What I did so far (and did not work):
- SFC Scannow (found no errors)
- Using only one of my 2 monitors (I read that a previous windows update may slow down certain muli-monitor setups)
- Deinstalling the january Windows updates - it seemed to be improving the situation for a while.
- Uninstalling mouse driver (Func ms-3)
- Updating all my drivers
- Messing around with Chrome settings.
Motherboard: ASRock Z-77 Pro4
Processor: Intel Core i7-2600
Memory: Patriot 16GB DDR3 1866MHz Intel Extreme Masters Limited Edition
GPU: Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1060 Windforce OC 6GB
HDD: Seagate ST2000DM001 2TB
SSD: OCZ Vertex 3 120 GB (with OS on it)
PSU: Corsair GS800W
2 monitors (22" Benq and 27" Dell)
I THINK this is more of a software/driver issue, than hardware, though I could be wrong. One last note is that my SSD's condition is 70% which if I am correct is OK and should not affect stability.
UPDATE 1:
Since then Windows cannot log me in, but all the stuttering is gone. So I have two new questions:
1. What is not present in guest mode, that there is when I'm logged in (drivers and updates are all there as far as I can see)?
2. How can I get logged in to my account again? Just signing off and on will not work...
Any help is deeply appreciated.
