Alright so here's the deal, I've got a 2008ish Gateway GT5692 Desktop that has been sitting around collecting dust. I've just finished my first PC build and I've got the Bug, you know the one where you go around your house thinking you can fix everything. So this computer has served me well for years, until I started getting plagued by random black screens. I'm 99% sure I've pegged it down as something to do with the GPU, possible overheating or whatnot. Here is a list of relevant specs:
CPU: AMD Phenom X3 8450 / 2.1 GHz
MOBO: Foxconn (Bengal) RS780 Motherboard
4GB RAM
300w PSU
Windows Vista 64-bit
Must fit PCI Express 2.0 x16 slot
So my question for you is, What is a decent, CHEAP graphics card that will not require me to upgrade the PSU?
I've just dropped $800 into this new build, so my budget for this project is set at a whopping $30-$40. I know the word 'decent' might be a stretch at this price point, so maybe "comparable" might be a more reasonable request.
The onboard ATI Radeon 3200 HD used to be able to run Arma 2 or Dayz on very low settings and that is all I'm really looking to get out of it. I'm even willing to buy refurbished since the PC itself is damn near as old as most of the people you'll find on Dayz these days.
I've shopped around, but I'd like to hear your input
