TL;DR: no display after installing new and old Nvidia driver's. Tried manually and GeForce experience. Same result. Safe mode works.
Hello all, I built a rig from here back in December. Everything has been working perfectly until yesterday morning. I was playing Fortnite and in the middle of a game my screen went completely blank, my USB keyboard and mouse turned off but the computer fans were still running and my GPU was still glowing like normal. I thought it was just a random crash so I restarted. Bios loaded normally but as soon as It tried to boot into Windows blank screen and no signal again like the first time. Okay. So I tried my TV via HDMI and my secondary monitor via dp. Same thing. Okay so I thought Windows crashed. I reinstalled. Got into Windows everything was fine but as soon as I install the Nvidia driver's screen went blank and no signal again. At this point I'm worried my SSD died. So I install on my HDD. This time I installed an older driver from April. Same thing. So now i've narrowed it down to the gpu. So here we are. I think my GPU is dead? When I go into safe mode I get display. So there is something with the drivers and my gpu. Doesn't make any sense. Shall I try DDU (I reinstalled windows anyways though)? RMA my card? New PSU? Test In Another Rig? CMOS?
