Another first for me

This evening, my sorceress, Jehuquien, defeated Diablo in Hell. On the way
there, past the Hellforge, she received only one rune, but it was a Gul, so
I'm pleased with that. Going through the Chaos Sanctuary, her merc died
several times before she gave up reviving him. He just can't hang against
those Oblivion Knights. Then there was the killing of Diablo. I loaded her
pack with her MF gear and as Diablo's life waned away under her level 26
Blizzard, I wanted to switch gear before making the kill, but unfortunately
he must have got nailed by a pretty large hailstone at the end. It wasn't a
total loss, I think, because the one unique drop (a Tomb Wand) was
identified as the Arm of King Leoric, which seems to be a pretty nifty necro
tool.

Does anyone have any idea of the value of this item?

The Hellforge always drops a few gems, and only one rune. Gul is the
highest you can get from the Hell Hellforge, so you're pleased for a
reason. (Though maybe an Ist has more direct uses...)

It indeed is; probably the nicest wand a Summoning Necro can use, if you
can live with the Bone Prison it sometimes triggers. Not a big problem
(but a nuisance) in SC, but if I were playing HC, I'd probably skip this
wand for that reason.

It's a bunch of pgems in SC Eur Ladder, and I could speculate it's less
wanted if you found it in HC, due to the reason above.

I.o.w.: not much. Sorry. There are actually very few items which are worth
a lot on it's own, and most can be bought for pgems. But in an
item-for-item trade it should be possible to get something nice for it.

Regards,

Patrick.

That was probably because of the notorius Iron Maiden curse they cast, so
it was suicide, not a murder. You can try taking away his weapon before
facing OKs. That way he will be doing much less damage to himself.

I recall trading one for a near perfect Titans (which was my first Titans)
since I already had another arm that I wasn't using already. I prefer Umes
to the arm.

[Arm of King Leoric]

I'd take a long and hard look to Carin Shard of I were looking for an
alternative for the Arm, for a Summoner of course. Especially the level
based life/mana are nice, and it still gives +3 to the summoning tree.
