So Ill try and make this quick and easy to answer because I'm sure you guys are all bored to death of answering these. I don't usually come here unless I can't find the solution somewhere else and this is one of those times

Here's what's up. Its the holiday's and I am looking to use the savings to do a little GPU upgrade, Right now I have a GTX 670 and I am looking to upgrade to an RX 480 or a gtx 1060. My question is, What kind of performance increase will I see If I move to the RX 480. (technically the 1060 is a little over budget but I do prefer nvidia products, so if there is a significant performance increase I would get it)

Current hardware
CPU Fx-6300
GPU GTX
RAM 8 gigs
2 350gb HDDS

What I use it for

1080p gaming on

BF3
ALIEN Isolation
Dirty bomb
SW Battlefront
Dirt Rally
Warframe
Battlefield 1

No VR use intended

Solution
It would be an appreciable increase in performance.

Overall the GTX1060 is the better card however most of the games you primarily planning on playing are AMD titles. So it may be worth going the RX480 route if you can get a good deal.

I did but I couldn't find any direct comparisons, I guess because the 670 is an older card, and yah I know :(
And yes I've looked at those but gpuboss and the like are very gimmicky and I don't trust their results

Solution
From 2012 to 2015 I had a GTX 670 paired with an FX-6300 @ 4.3 GHz. When I got an i5-4690k I was surprised how much the FX was holding the GTX 670 back. I'd estimate my FPS jumped 15% on average in most games on a 1920x1200 monitor. Basically, your not going to see nearly the improvement you should going to a stronger GPU. If I were you I'd concentrate on replacing your PC before getting a better video card.
