I understand that this topic has been covered to death but like everyone else, i cant find the exact situation recently (and with current costs) that has answered my questions.

So, really want to start PC gaming (been console for what seems forever). I'm tech savvy and understand the relationship of the parts but never physically built my own PC from scratch. I've upgraded parts in the past (ram, new ssd from hdd etc). Want to game with my son and possibly use for a VR rig in the future (maybe with vive)

I'm thinking of PUBG, GTAV, Overwatch, Beam NG (for the kid) and after researching i have specced some parts. I have roughly £1,200 to spend inc monitor

Ive gone for the following,

CPU: AMD - Ryzen 5 1600 3.2GHz 6-Core Processor (£188.49 @ Amazon UK)
Motherboard: MSI - B350 GAMING PLUS ATX AM4 Motherboard (£85.89 @ CCL Computers)
Memory: Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory (£126.80 @ Ebuyer)
Storage: Samsung - 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (£85.49 @ Novatech)
Storage: Samsung - 850 EVO-Series 500GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (£134.99 @ Aria PC)
Video Card: Gigabyte - GeForce GTX 1060 3GB 3GB Windforce OC Video Card (£217.56 @ Amazon UK)
Case: NZXT - S340 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case (£62.39 @ Aria PC)
Power Supply: Corsair - CSM 550W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply (£66.95 @ Eclipse Computers)
Wired Network Adapter: TP-Link - TG-3468 PCI-Express x1 10/100/1000 Mbps Network Adapter (£8.28 @ Aria PC)
Monitor: LG - 29UM68-P 29.0" 2560x1080 60Hz Monitor (£259.93 @ More Computers)

Notice a few things that im not sure on. My idea behind 2 ssd's in those config are 256 for OS and applications - 512 for media and games. Am i way off? Should i get 512 ssd a 1tb HDD?

WIth my other selections, do i go with something more pricey and save on something else?

Any help/advice would be good.

Thanks for reading this overly long post.
