So the e6800 extreme costs 630 pounds here in the uk, thats like over 1000 US dollers. the e6300 costs 120 pounds or so. now, the stock speed of the e6800 is 2.93 or so?, basicly i want to understand this: how come a lot of people seem to spend 120 and get the e6300, then overclock it to 3.0 ghz. Does that mean that their e6300 is now better than a 600 pound extreme version at stock speeds? it just seems to good to be true, or is there something im missing here.

anyway, i have an e6600 at stock speed.

also is there a difference between 'allendale' and 'conroe'?
