Started my 6th character with 10 str, 10 dex, and 60 Int last week.
Her name is "Gringotts", if you can catch the reference. She's been
running around, whacking training dummies, mining, staring intently at
her dagger, fishing, etc. The usual things new characters do to gain
stats and skills.

She's been gaining stats while she's logged out.

I logged her off w/13 str, logged back in the next morning with 14
str. That's happend 2-3 times now. She hasn't turned Red or taken up
Herding or anything silly like that; I guess I don't mind her
moonlighting. >😉

You str gain was lagged? Weird.

I logged out with my Ember Hotpants at 251/255 and logged back in at
255/255. No revert. I'm not complaining.

Perhaps you didn't auto-log and got a focus gain or something.

I think those auto-repair.

Yeah, but don't auto-repair items wait until they need repairing, then use
up one of the self repair charges?

They've done it again twice more since then with no decrease in the self
repair charges.

Update: I've gained 3 points of str today and 1 of Dex while she was
logged out. Almost every time I log back in she's up a point in
something. At this rate I should just log her in and out a couple of
times a day for a month and she'll be near-maxed out stats w/o ever
leaving the house.

I have a feeling it is like the buggy way item counts update now.
Sometimes clicking on an item or moving it doesn't get the count updated.
UO seems to do updates on counts whenever it feels like it. We really
need a "force update" command inside UO.

Still doesn't explain my auto-repairing Ember Leggings though. If
anything, they should show more wear if the counts are lagged.

Self Repair is not Charge based...the Items just Repair themselves on
serverup.

Oh, that explains it I guess. I always thought that was a charge and once
it was used up you had to repair them yourself. So what does a 10 imply
compared to a 1? That it can repair that many points per day?

I thought they did it constantly, like HP regen?

The numbers describe the amount of ItemHPs regenerated on serverup...the
more the better.

Yes, that explains it. Thanks. I went and looked on Stratics but I never
could find a page explaining that.
