ANOTHER Omega Update!

Wow it seemed like only yesterday, or the day before, that I downloaded the 2.4.96a drivers. Now there's the 2.4.96b!

Not too impressed I must say.

I wonder if this is onl the Omegas or if the ATI Cats have the same issues and will simply be fixed in Version 3.9?

I find it funny that the WMV option was one of the major diff. between the Omegas and the stock 3.8s (other than a few more OGL shader effects).

Did you try the Google Toolbar? FAR better than any pop-up blocker IMO. You control anytime if you want links to pop up. Integrates itself into IE.

Not at work it doesn't. Not without Administator priviledges; and I've been all but barred from getting those, because some of the 'tweaks' I put on my rig my first month at work (and that was 2 years ago, but I'm still barred!).

Crappy thing is that we can't even change screen res. without 'help'. Took almost 45 mins (and 2 calls) in order to get 1920x1440 as my desktop res, Sheeesh!

Anywhoo, yeah, I'm not sure about the First statement. Seemed strange to me, but I just thought, oh, that's good for them (the R9700 users). PErhaps there's something out there about it in one of the forums. I haven't seen anything yet.

You should try my Windows Linux based password breaker and log yourself on as an admin and change everything :tongue: to you liking...course you might get fired...but hey it works on every single version of windows...

Yeah, I'm not THAT stressed about it. And here, I likely WOULD get caught. I just installed a burner a work, because I have no floppy at home (I just have them on my Thinkpads [and use my USB burner {now at work} if I need to convert/export files to CD]).

And while I know my way around my computer, these are network based administrator issues, so anything I do would leave a paper/electronic trail a mile long, and likely be noticed by someone.

Oh well, life isn't THAT bad, it's just annoying knowing, I could fix that in 30secs, instead I've gotta send in a request to have the settings changed and then and hour or two later, voila.... still nothing.

Anywhooo, they pay me enough, and I gotta be good cause in this new department they don't know me well enough to cut me too much slack, but this too will come.
