Building a gaming pc with my son. I know we can get better components, but the budget is stretched pretty tight with what we have picked. Just want to make sure they will (or should) work together:

Case - Corsair Carbide Series CC-9011050-WW SPEC-01 Black ATX Mid Tower Gaming Computer Case

Graphics Card - EVGA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti GAMING, 04G-P4-6251-KR, 4GB GDDR5, DX12 OSD Support (PXOC)

Power Supply - CORSAIR CX series CX500 500W 80 PLUS BRONZE Active PFC ATX12V & EPS12V

Memory - CORSAIR Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200) Desktop Memory Model CMY16GX3M2A2400C11R

Motherboard - ASRock ASRock Fatal1ty Gaming Fatal1ty Z97 Killer LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel

Processor - AMD Athlon X4 860k with AMD Quiet Cooler Quad-Core Socket FM2+ 95W AD860KXBJASBX

Hard Drive - Seagate Hybrid Drive ST1000DX001 1TB MLC/8GB 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s NCQ 3.5" Desktop SSHD

Power Supply...
That will not work because you are using a AMD processor and a Intel motherboard..will not work because of the PGA on the CPU and LGA on the motherboard (pins mismatch).

If you are on a budget, you can try something like this:

All new parts, path to upgrade to i7-7770K.

Thanks...we originally chose a motherboard that took DDR4. Switched to DDR3 due to the cost, but forgot to check compatibility with the CPU.

Forgot to check the CPU compatibility after we switched motherboards...thanks. Trying to keep it around $650, not including OS. We are in Maine so will be shopping on-line, if that was what you were getting at. I know he plays the COD series and Tom Clancy games.
