Another peson asking for advice on a build

I've never built a pc before so I need all the help I can get. I don't know whether or no to get 2 580's, might have to change the cooling or something if i do I suppose. I thought it'd be best to wait to get a ssd, they're fairly expensive at the moment. Hopefully it's all compatible though I'm not sure. (I'm in the uk if that's of any importance)

Don't get two 580's.

Nothing right now will run better with two then with one.

You'll run any game at max with just 1.

That being said if and when you get two you'll want a better psu.

It's never good to get the bare minimum wattage psu. You want to overshoot your need.

Also, I'm not a fan of that mobo. I can't link anything due to my work settings on the net, but I'm sure others can assist you past my initial break down.

1000w PSU is recommended for SLI 580s + overclocking. No less than 900w is recommended.

As Circulate said above me, theres no point buying 2 straight off as there will be no noticeable difference in performance. Buy one now, and wait untill prices drop/an amazing deals pops up if you really want a second card.

With the money saved from only buying one GTX 580 id recommended looking into a decent sized SSD aswell, maybe something like 120GB.

so would a "ASUS P8P67 - motherboard LGA1155 Socket " be a better motherboard then? I don't know which psu to go for, another corsair perhaps? what about the fan heat sink, is that fine?

Also, people say the 570 is more cost effective but if i might get a second gpu after price drops is it worth just getting the 580 now?

Also what's the main reason to get a ssd? does it just load some programs quicker? I don't think there would be much utility in that for me.

yes, TREMENDOUSLY faster. loading windows in 10-15 seconds, for instance. Loading instances in WOW in under 3 seconds.

Back to the motherboard question, id go with a Z68 Socket 1155 Motherboard.

Either something like the ASUS P8Z68-v / -v PRO or the Gigabyte/MSI/AsRock equivalent.

That build needs help. First off you want 1.5v RAM for these 1155 boards as is recommended by all the board manufactures and that board is a mATX which sucks for dual vid cards.

Try something like this.... also one card for now maybe, and one later on if you feel the need. That way you can fit in an SSD.
