I want to remove all of the houses I downloaded from my downloads
folder but I can't tell from the filesnames which are houses and which
are clothes, etc.

Can anyone give me a clue?

Thanks!

That's another thing that bugs me with TS2, is the naming of the
downloads.

At least in Sims1, you knew what was what.

It's hard to tell what something is when everything is thrown in one
folder, and they all have hexadecimal file names.

And they're all in your downloads folder? Houses should be in the
LotCatalogue folder... either way I think you should be able to delete
them from the lot catalogue in the game! Just click the thumbnail of
the house and delete. That's the thing with Sims 2... you're supposed
to delete custom content from within 🙂 Unfortunately it doesn't
ALWAYS work, since some downloads don't have the star :-\ But I've
heard others say you can remove it using some program.

Yep, EVERYthing is in my downloads fold...clothes, makeup, hair,
houses.

Thanks for the info...I didn't know that about the houses going into
the LotCatalogue folder. I'll go in today and delete from within. I
guess it is the easiest way.

What happened was, I made copies of my Downloads, Neighborhood, etc
folders before uninstalling and doing a clean install for University.
When I went in to play the game, I copied down the names of all the
houses in the bin so now I know what's not supposed to be in there. I
really thought I'd miss my old Sims but it's kinda fun to start over
again. :0
