Hello everybody,
This is my first post, I could see some people had a similar issue and found great help here, so here I am !
So on Saturday morning when I turned on the computer I had the infamous "Unidentified Network" instead of my good old Local Network connection, though when I turned it off the previous day it was working perfectly and I never had such an issue.
I could see from the information I've gathered that it was a windows problem, but after trying everything I could, I'm still stuck with this problem and unable to use internet.
I have an 169.254.x.x IP type.
So far I tried: reset my internet box/rooter, manually configure my IPv4 connection (I doubled checked the numbers, it seems all good), try the other Ethernet port, try another Ethernet cable, update my drivers, uninstall/reinstall the network card in "device manager", ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew doesn't work, reset TCP/IP stacks. Probably others things I don't think of mentioning.
I also have a laptop with WIFI and it works perfectly.
I don't really know what else to do, I was hoping someone could help
.
Thanks !
