Antec 1000W PSU still good ?

I am currently in the process of upgrading my PC parts, and i am worried if my PSU is still good enough for Intel i7?

AMD 8350
8GB ADATA 1600MHZ DDR 3 RAM
GIGABYTE 970A MOBO

I am going to be upgrading to:

Intel i7 4790k
MSI Z97S SLI KRAIT EDITION
16BG DDR4 2400MHZ RAM

the reason why i mentioned my old previous parts is because it is currently being powered by the 1000W ANTEC PSU and was wondering that if my current PSU is able to run my AMD 8350 it should be good enough to run a Intel i7 4790k?

Do i need to upgrade my ANTEC 1000WAT PSU to a Gold certified PSU?

Why not go to a 7700k?
DDR4 is also not compatible with Haswell.

well the PC parts that i am buying in order to upgrade are used. They aren't new, its from a friend of mine. So i was price quoted around 500 for the pc parts that i mentioned.

i live in toronto, canada.. if i bought these parts new.. i would probably end up paying twice the amount.. at least close to $700+
