Antec 620W Work With HD 7970?

Hey Guys,

Can someone tell me if the HD 7970 is compatible with the Antec 620W High Current Gaming PSU, i am not too sure as i would like to upgrade from a HD 6870

Yes, a 7970 will run fine,

i am just unsure because the 7970 needs a 8 PCIE Slot but i'll take your word for it

You should have two 6+2 pin connectors on your PSU. You will be fine.

You will see a nice upgrade with the 7970.

The PCIe cable isn't what's important, it's the wattage output and amperage on the 12V rails, both of which are plenty for this card.

i don't do any overclocking or anything like that just usually leave it at factory settings so it should be good to go 😀 thanks very much
