Hi everyone,

Just made an account to ask this question as I'm long overdue a new PC case. I've had a few in contention but settled for two but sadly, nobody's really compared it clearly. I saw from a Gamer Nexus video that the C8 ARGB generally outperforms the 216RW though the margins were so small it'd probably be indistinguishable, but the CPU seems to run noticeably hotter and louder? Clearly I don't know my stuff well so any help would be really appreciated!

FYI - the C8 is $11 more expensive than the 216RW ($158 vs $169) in Australia from where I'm buying from.

Thanks!

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Either of the cases will be a good purchase.
Thank you! I need help between two very similar PCs too; should I make a new thread for that? It's between the Samsung Odyssey G7 (https://www.samsung.com/au/monitors...-32-inch-ips-144hz-1ms-uhd-4k-ls32bg702eexxy/) and the Samsung Odyssey G6 G61SD (https://www.samsung.com/au/monitors/gaming/odyssey-oled-g6-g61sd-27-inch-240hz-qhd-ls27dg610sexxy/). From where I'm buying the G7's 100 dollars cheaper.

You can't even think to compare those 2 monitors. There is a massive difference in the size, one uses OLED, and one is 2k (1440) and the other is 4k (2160). There are likely other brands you can compare to also but you have to match the specs a lot closer. Maybe only get one major difference between them.

Also be very careful very fast high resolution monitors are fairly cheap. A video card that can actually run at those high speeds in something like games is where the problem comes. If you do not have a video card that can actually use the capability of the monitor you are paying extra for something that you can not use. Just be careful about going crazy chasing numbers.

I see, I own a AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT as my video card and an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-core as my CPU (I'll probably see to updating my CPU in the future). Which do you think would better suit me? I'm a single player guy so I don't play FPS's or anything, mostly strategy like Crusader Kings, racing like F1 or single player story games like the upcoming Kingdom Come 2.

CPU tends not to be the bottleneck when you are running higher resolutions.

So if you just pick the average numbers from the reviews..different games have different FPS.... the 6700xt can do just above 100fps at 1440 and 60fps at 2160. As you can see your video card is far far below both those monitor capability.

The key difference between these monitors is one is OLED and the other is not. Because OLED increases the price what is traded off is the monitor is only 1440 and 27 inches.

You are going to have to find a store to see if you feel paying for the OLED is worth it. There is no way to measure or benchmark this it is a personal perception thing. Although most people can see the difference not all agree it is worth the price.

Gotcha, so if I'm understanding right; my GPU's not good enough to run the G7 with its bigger resolution of 3480 x 2160 so forget that outright, and I'll have to go in-store to determine the worth of the G6? Thanks a lot for your help!
