Question Antec DF500 - PC doesn't recognize the mic

Hi guys, my pc doesn't recognize the mic inserted to the mic jack on the Antec DF500 case. Am I missing something here?

Are you certain that the front panel connections are actually attached to your motherboard audio header? Does the mic work if attached to the rear panel mic port?

I'm sure the panel connections are attached to the mb. The mic works if attached to the mb (but I need that jack for 5.1 surround, turns out that's where ASRock budgets out).

Do speakers/headphones work when plugged into that front panel port?

What is the make/model of your motherboard?
