[SOLVED] Antec VP450 vs Earthwatts 380w bronze

Antec Earthwatts bronze 380w
or
Antec Vp-450 Basiq
In terms of pure quality- not watts/efficiencey/whatnot.

Neither honestly.
They are both extremely cheap and budget.
Only potentially good for a low power workstation running integrated graphics or something that won't put any pressure on the PSU.

If living in the US, this is the cheapest PSU I could recommend for a system that you might be gaming with that is low wattage like those.
If not living in the US then this recommendation could potentially be pointless due to price and availability of components across the world.

it's $60 and 450w Bronze, but aside from that it has good enough build quality to not blow up or catch fire.

Then there's this Thermaltake one for $50 that is basic 80+ white and 430w, that could potentially suffice depending on the load you plan to put on it.

If you knew someone would tell you then why bother asking and looking at them as potential power supplies to use? 🤔

But OK, to answer the question of purely comparing the two to each other, then the Earthwatts would be potentially better.
Not by enough to really matter since the end result is still a bad PSU, but still technically better.

I guess it just wasn't the answer I wanted to hear lol.
I'm challenging myself to build a PC for $200 or less and the power supply has been an issue. I'm stuck with which one to choose. It's a PC flip also, so I won't own it. I just want something able to power an i5-2400 with an R9 270 at a decent price.
I've though about getting a refub EVGA 600 W1 (which is at a decent price rn) and then putting in a GTX 760/770 in there instead, but I know the 600 W1 isn't that great either.

Might just have to get the TT smart
Unless that W1 will be decent too...

Unfortunately, all of the ones you are considering aren't known to be that good. That said, given your use case it matters a lot less, so any one of those ones would probably be okay for what you want. Be a different story if you were running high end hardware off these units, which some people do.

yeah I wouldn't run a GTX 1070 + i7 on a TT smart for example, but I know this system doesn't pull a lot of power
