Antenna direction

i want to connect my three computers together, only problem is that two are in the basement and the third is at the highest spot in the house, my question is can the antenna supplied buy a linksys wireless router reach that computer at the highest point in my home. is the antenna omidirectional and if so how far can the signal propagate

Not a question that can be answered here. Test and see. That's the only way to know for sure. Put the AP in the middle if you can. You can always get higher gain antenna if you run into trouble or if you have a Linksys AP, they do offer a low power amp. Every environment is different with wireless. Only guesses and conjecture could be an answer to that question in a BBS post.
