Hello everyone so i have a question, i know that static electricity that we generate can screw up a component and i know that its a good idea to get an antistatic wristband which i am doing but my question is would it matter if i set up my pc and such on my bed but with my antistatic mat and my antistatic wrist band? cause the only good place where i have 2 open and unused grounders in right on top og my bed so if i were to put my anti-static mat on my bed and connect it to the grounder and then use my anti-static wristband(which is also connected to another grounder) is that okay? or will i still generate static electricity? thanks in advance

Personally - I wouldn't recommend using a bed to assemble a computer - not only do you have issues with possible static electricity (the grounding straps and anti-static mat will help if not eliminate it), but it isn't a very stable surface - and you can loose screws and other tiny parts....I would suggest a table top, or a hard floor surface (non-carpet).
