Anti Static Bands

Hey guys im currently building my own PC and i bought an antic static band but i was wondering where do it attach it to since my case psu and screws are a all painted over

Just clip it onto your case. I've never had issues with paint affecting my AS wristband.

Never used one ever with to many builds to count.
my work area has wood floors so no reason to ever buy one, also you could just touch the case every now and then.

but i was told Static cant pass through the case paint making the band useless for removing the static

I don't know if it works or not, but I have never had a problem. Every computer I've built has worked (eventually). Half of them done with a band, the other half not. ESD is an over-exaggerated issue with PC building. You're more likely to have a component dead on arrival than shock it with static anyway.
