Hello, I've had my current setup for about 1 year working without any problems and a few days ago, while playing a game my pc rebooted and showed me this message:
"Power supply surges detected during the previous power on ASUS anti-surge was triggered to protect system from unstable supply unit".
Every time I tried to play a game since then my computer reboots after 10-60 seconds in-game.
It never happens when browsing, only when playing a game.
So, thinking my PSU was faulty I exchanged it for a new one, but the problem still persists unchanged.
My setup:
Motherboard: Asus Maximus VII HERO
Processor: Intel Core i7 4790K
Graphics Card: EVGA GTX 980 Ti Superclocked+
Power Supply Unit: Corsair 750M (750W)
What I tried so far:
-Exchanging the PSU
-Disabling the surge protection in BIOS
-Running the PC with minimal components (Only 1 Mouse, no sound-card, 1 monitor, no audio-devices)
-Switching the slot of the graphics card
-Plugging the PSU into a different power-outlet (different wall)
I don't think it's a real (external) power-surge. Yes, I have moved into a new apartement recently but I've been here for a couple of months and it never happened during that time.
Does anyone have an idea how I can fix this issue?
