[SOLVED] Any advantage in using a 4K @ 144Hz gaming monitor for basic productivity ?

For productivity applications high refresh rate has no benefit.
But it doesn't hurt either.

If you have it, then use it.
If you're buying new, then 4k 60Hz is just as good.

Apple always advertises that their iPad Pro and MacBook Pro have Pro Motion for smoother scrolling. I don't see any different.

So it is the same thing for the Windows world? What will happen if I buy a gaming monitor that can handle 144Hz or 122HZ natively but the GPU cannot handle it? Most likely it can handle one but I may buy two or three monitors. About 30 years ago when we used monitors in frequencies different from the native one, there were also sorts of problems such as strange lines on the screen. Only the NEC Multisync could handle multiple frequencies. What about monitors including gaming monitors these days?
