[SOLVED] Any benefit to running refresh rate higher than FPS

I want to run 10-bit color, NO DSC, and 90Hz. I'm getting 60 FPS with the quality settings maxed. Is there any benefit to running 8-bit color, DSC ON, and 144Hz? Does the higher refresh rate mean anything when I only get 60 FPS?

Ideally you should have your FPS the same as your monitors refresh rate. There are some who can't notice a difference when they have higher refresh rates than their FPS while others notice micro stutters and jitters. Maybe you can try and see if you like what you see.
