Hello,

I am curious if there's any benefit to use the iGPU (from 8700K) together with my dedicated videocard (1070Ti). I remember seeing videos about Quick Sync and even hybrid gaming action with the iGPU adding a few frames to a dedicated GPU. Not for a multi display setup, I only have one, just for technical reasons, if there are any. OS is Windows 10 x64.

Any advice on the matter is welcome, as I just put together this new PC earlier today and am new to the platform.

Thank you!

Looks like having Quick Sync available can be a large advantage for applications like Premiere. One of the games I have, Vampyr, was also able to use the 1070ti (with no cables in it, my monitor died at that time) and output the video through the iGPU (VGA cable on old monitor). No other game I had seemed able to do it.

So there are some advantages, but they are kind of niche. I still keep my iGPU disabled, but if I worked more with Premiere, I'd definitely keep it enabled.
