Question Any better if use 6G RAM?

I am running one of Linux distos on a USB bootable. For fast startup, I always suspend the OS.

The motherboard is G45T AM2, having dual-channel. I was told to always use RAM of even numbers of GB.

Now I am running a Linux disto on bootable USB stick. I always suspend the OS instead of shutdown. I have 3 RAM sticks, each is 2GB. On the dual-channel motherboard, should I use 4GB RAM or 6GB? Would 6GB RAM cause any issue?

Since you are running Linux from an USB stick, the way you use the RAM probably doesn't matter as long as it works.
