So I ordered this but will my CPU bottleneck anything?
I have the AMD FX 8120 @ 4.2GHz but I can't push it any further because when I got it stable at 4.4GHz it went to 59c so I shut it down and clocked it down by 200MHz.
Oh sorry I didn't see the hyperlink lol. You should receive some bottleneck. If you can afford to upgrade the FX 8350 is a great option. If not don't sweat some bottleneck.

I can't right now sadly, the thing is that the actual speed in the CPU (not that clock) is not that big of a change so it's not really worth it. Although it makes less heat so I could overclock it a lot if I did get it.
With it overclocked you will be fine, although some games that are more CPU bound like Skyrim for example that benefits from Intels higher IPC performance may take a hit in performance but other than that you will be good to go.

Not enough to make a big deal of difference as you will be over 60fps. Skyrim runs just fine on my Phenom II x4 955 @ 3.5Ghz which is a slower CPU than yours. Also @ 1080P and higher the GPU is allot more important than the CPU for running games.

Well I have a 6870 right now so I'm hoping for a performance increase.
It really depends on the game but I believe it will be a slight bottleneck. It takes something like the GTX 670 to slightly bottleneck the FX-8120. So my advice, overclock just a bit to get out of the hole you've dug yourself in to before you get caught under piles of jaffa cakes.
(GTX 670 and HD 7970 are around each other in performance).
So just like Tom burnquest has stated, not too much, in fact I'd say little.
You will see a huge performance increase by upgrading to a 7970 GHz edition, though it will be bottlenecked. The human eye can't see past 70 fps anyways lol.
You will see a nice performance increase. As stated there are some games that will yield lower performance numbers with games that are more CPU bound that favor high IPC such as (Skyrim, CIV V, Starcraft 2) but for the most part it's a difference you won't notice at all, here take a look at these bechmarks It is a FX-8150 clocked @ 3.6 but it gives you a general idea of what to expect and since you are overclocked you shouldn't have any problems.
