Hey guys I'm helping a buddy of mine build his first gaming PC and want you guys to look the build over and make any tweaks.

Are there any tweaks that Will
- Not increase the cost?
- Not reduce performance?

My buddy has a budget of $1500 and wants every bit of performance that he can get out of this machine.(already decided against Ryzen 7 1700 and the i7 7700k, also gtx 1070 is over budget)

Also if down the road he adds in a secondary 1060 6gb what will the bottleneck be?

Thanks so much!

Solution
Well, did some changes, if you want every bit of performance you might want to overclock and you shouldn't cheap out on cooling and motherboard.
The cooler you had it's ok but not that good, H7 is way better.

FYI the 1060 does not support sli and you would need a higher wattage psu for 2 gpu’s. However I would forget the plan to go sli, it’s just not worth it.

Apart from that it’s a nice build but a 8700k is over the top for a 1060 unless planning to stream. For pure gaming a 8600k would be plenty.
