Looks alright, maybe just shaving off a little cost if you plan to go with a locked processor. Around same performance, but cheaper. Lower heat from CPU because there is no iGPU on it to make heat, will give better temps with a stock cooler. Board has USB 3.0 and 6GB SATA, also no need to change the PSU. It's more than enough, but leaves the option for more upgrades down the line plus a larger amperage on the 12v rail is always good.

what's the difference between the 3350 and the 4430?

The 3350p is a little faster core clock, the 4430 is a newer architecture. For gaming, web surfing, regular use purposes, they are pretty much the same. The one I picked can be put in a board that costs $50 less, which saves a bunch right there.

If you wanted to overclock your CPU and switch to an AMD chip, you might consider the 8350, but then you would have to get an aftermarket cooler. And at that point, you'd probably just get a 3570k which is the mainstream chip for cost/performance on med-high to high end systems. You could also consider a 6300 from AMD and overclock it and get an aftermarket cooler and that would drop about $60 more off the current pricing.

The one I listed works for what you need. Unless you are looking for specific features that it is missing. Is there any? It has USB 3.0 and 6GB SATA, other than that is has the standard PCI lanes you'll use.

do you think this rig will max bf4?

To "max out" BF4, you need a card more powerful than a GTX770. Seen on this benchmark:

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/battlefield-4-graphics-card-performance,3634-8.html

Anything more powerful than a 770 will give 60FPS or more on BF4 at 1920x1080, which is considered the target FPS at full HD. However if you are looking to max out BF4, then you will definetly need a more powerful CPU, as the benchmarks were likely done in single player. Multi-player (like 64 people) will take more CPU power, but as long as you have a 770 or higher, you should be good.
