get faster RAM for the k series CPU. 2666 as the bottom speed to look at.
the CX series unless it ends with a 50 are best avoided. example cx-550 good, cx-500 bad bad.
the 860 is available in m.2 so fewer cables.

The power supply is from an old computer, is it really necessary to upgrade it????

it has a 5 year warranty, it is not safe to use past that. they are not the highest quality units, and that is being diplomatic, others say junk.

You're going to spend money on all that nice gear and go with a used CX as your power supply? Don't underestimate the importance of the power supply, especially when overclocking is in play.

I like EVGA and Seasonic for power supplies. Some companies sell power supplies but don't actually make them. They might buy them from a company like Seasonic and then put their own name on them. There is plenty of information on who makes what power supply online.

In general most companies sell a 'budget' line, and also sell better ones. I advise you to stay away from any company's budget line. Budget lines are okay for someone building a basic, non overclocking system. The CX line is a budget line. For your use you'll want one of the company's midrange PSUs at least.

Hi, I am getting my pc upgraded tomorrow to the specs below. Question is should I make any changes to my pc? and also the only thing I am not upgrading tomorrow is my graphics card because I am waiting for the price drop when the new graphic cards come out. here is what my upgraded pc specs:

Looking good but you listed ram twice instead of psu and the 212 evo isn’t adequate for an overclocked 8600k. Would stick with 3200mhz ram.
