[SOLVED] Any cooler recommendations for a Ryzen 5700X?

Good afternoon,

First time poster here so please bear with me, I'm currently looking to upgrade to a new cooler as I've realised that my current one isn't quite sufficient. Here are my relevant specs:

Case:
Corsair 4000X RGB

Motherboard:
Gigabyte B550 Gaming X V2

GPU:
ASUS Dual OC 3060 Ti

CPU:
AMD Ryzen 5700X

And my current cooler is an AIO, it's a Corsair H60x Elite.

As for my query, I'm looking to upgrade my cooler. Initially I'd been thinking about a Corsair H100i Elite, since I imagine that a 240mm radiator will be better at cooling than a 120mm. Again, relatively new to PC building so bear with me. However, I'm open to any recommendations, doesn't necessarily need to be an AIO. My budget is around £100-150 or so, and figured I'd just ask around and see if you guys have any recommendations, more or less seeing what options might be available to me.

Thank you for your time!

Hey there,

If you want the best air, the maybe the Noctua NH-D15 or the U12 for a bit less cash, but solid cooling.

Any decent 240 AIO will easily cool the 5700x. It's actually not that power hungry at all. The Deepcool LS520 is really good. Or the CM Master Liquid 240. Corsair H100i Elite, looks nice. Will do fine for the CPU.

I'd skip the aio especially a 120 if your case had the room for a good air cooler. I have a deepcool as500 plus on my 5700x and it's rarely over 65 in benchmarks. Cruises along in the 30's for general office work. Maybe 55 in games in a well ventilated case.

I had a 120 aio for a while but it was to loud and I didn't enjoy the issues with total failure compared to the air coolers.

Ive just tested 2 air coolers on my 7800x3d the deepcool ak500 digital using 2 Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM fans off the NH-U12A chromax black and today i just swapped to the NH-U12A chromax black cooler ..

The AK500 digital is a great cooler bigger fin stack than the U12A and in cinebench R23 the AK500 will hold the 7800x3d at around 85 to 87c BUT the U12A is about 75c to 80c using cinebench R23 same fans smaller fins stack ( more heat pipes 5 vs the U12A at 7 per side )

AK500 digital cost me $140aud from ali express quick shipping no issues ..( the digital has a temp read out lcd and a little rgb on the top which is rather cool )

Noctua NH-U12A $240aud but better no doubt either one of these will cool a 5700x easy..

I dare say a noctua NH-u12s which is smaller fin stack again and ive personally used on a 5600x for ages will work a treat too !!

nothing really wrong with AIO's if you get decent one and mount them correctly ( also a 280mm AIO on a 5700x super quiet over fans ) but 100% depending on your case , budget and ease of use ( less worry i suppose) a good air cooler will be just as effective as a AIO !!

I've been looking at a Corsair H100i Elite Capellix XT, 240mm radiator. Would that be good?
