Same price.
- Upgraded to to Skylake for newer generation and DDR-4. Went with an I5 that is plenty. I7 is overkill for gaming.
- Got some DDR-3000 Ram for the overclocks if desired.
- Picked a higher end motherboard that would support overclocks and has integrated Wifi and headphone Amp. Why spend 40$ on a wireless card when you can put it towards a better motherboard with integrated wifi and get other features at the same time.
- Upgraded to an M.2 SSD for higher speed. Picked a single 2TB as opposed to dual 1TB hard drives.
- Picks the Radeon 390. A bit better than the NVidia, cheaper, and Freesync monitors are a better value.
- Picked a very good P2 power supply with 10 year warranty.
- Swapped case for the Define S. Silent and eliminates cages since you only have 2 drives which makes room for water cooling
- Got some steelseries keyboard/mouse. I find them more reliable.
- Upped the monitor to a 144Hz version with Freesync to match the video card.
I'd probably add an AIO watercooler and ditch the heatsink to take advantage of that sweet case. Also if you want a mechanical keyboard the Steelseries m800 is nice. Also an upgrade to the 390x video card is nice. You could drop the motherboard and CPU to a non k version if you don't plan on overclocking. Also the memory would then only have to be 2133MHz and be a tad cheaper. I just choose the cheapest Asus that had integrated wifi, it jsut happens to be great with good onboard sound and a headphone amp if you will take advantage of that.
As for dual monitors. It's fine for desktop use, but for gaming just use the Freesync one. Eyefinity really is only great with 3 equivalent thin bezel monitors. Other than that I like my build except that I'd probably add an AIO liquid cooler and I would also try to squeeze a 390x in there. If you don't want to overclock the coolermaster is fine, a Cryorig H7 is a bit better in the same price range. Also the I5 can be downgraded to a non-k version and the savings used towards the 390x.
I forgot to mention that case has no drive cages so an internal optical drive is a nono. Many people get an external cd-rom and hook it up once to install windows and that's it. If you want drive cages the same case is the Define R5, but it's more expensive. The Define S is beautifal with liquid cooling, take the savings and swap to an external cd-rom.
