I've had this issue that started about a week ago. the game that i mostly play, Rainbow Six Siege, keeps on crashing/shutting down whenever i load into any type of game mode, i cant even play a solo terrorist hunt. I've tried then playing City Skylines to see if there was the same problem, and guess what.. The game crashes/ shuts down when i load a save without even an error message. This has happened with chrome too a few times when i watch Youtube but it does not happen often. I do have discord running in the background to talk to my friends but I don't know how it could affect anything. I've had this computer for a year and i even built it myself and there has been nothing wrong with it since this past week and i have read so many suggestions on how to fix it like sfc scan or memtest to see if it was my memory or corrupted files but everything seems to be fine there. If you guys have any idea on how to fix this please let me know because i really miss my video games..

My specs:
8gb of RAM
GTX 1060 3gb
Gigabyte z170 motherboard
i5 6600k with a t12 evo cooler
2tb of hard drive storage

anyone who can help me fix this is a God:)

Hello fresh_chedd4r

Can you please try updating the graphics driver and see if that helps. If it doesn't, you can try removing the graphics driver altogether, and install the latest one afresh, from the start.

If your graphics driver is updated, rolling back to its previous built might do the trick.

Also, while downloading the driver for offline, fresh installation, please make sure to obtain it from the vendor's official website and not from any other third-party, non-trusted source.

Hope this helps.

Cheers!!
