Any good free Antivirus aoftware?

Looking for a good Antivirus software that is free of charge. If there aren't any that you can find, what would you recommend to buy?

Avast is a very good choice.

Avast, AVG, and Avira are all good choices. Take your pick.

I've been using Avast for the past year, just got the new version about a month back, haven't had one issue with it. Has the Silent mode for gaming (no pop-ups) and it doesn't seem to take up too many resources.
