Hello,

I'm looking for a good (I'll settle for just decent one too) gaming keyboard with a hardware turbo (autofire). Like there is in some game-pads.
It seems this functionality is totally unaddressed or mentioned in any keyboard specifications I've seen. I even tried writing to some of the leading brands in gaming keyboards (like Razer, Roccat, Logitech and such) but none answered...

So, are there any?
I would appreciate any "input" 😉 on the matter

p.s. it can be wireless too

Don't believe I have ever seen any with a hardware key for that. Mainly because the standard "Fire" button is usually the left mouse click. I would assume it can be programmed as a macro though. I currently have an autofire-equivalent button on my mouse by way of a macro. Grab a keyboard with some extra macro keys. Dedicate one of the keys to an autofire-type macro. Not the worst DIY equivalent.

I've had some bad experience with programmed macro's (with Razer's black mamba and logitech g510). Mainly because for some reason they didn't seem to work for me... at all. It flooded the system with interrupts and then froze for a several seconds.

That is why I was searching for a hardware solution were the repeat function is handled by the keyboard only.

🙁

Have you tried a mechanical keyboard instead of the dome based Logitech G510? Such as the Corsair K95?

If I remember correctly the dome key boards can sometimes has issues with doing the repeated tasks super fast but mechanical tend to handle them better as it is a different layout for the circuitry.

It might also be a USB issue but not sure as USB might only be able to handle so much before it freaks out.

I don't think I've tried a mechanical keyboard yet (unless razer's black blackwidow, which was what I meant in the previous response, is considered one).

I was hoping to be able to make a wiser purchase (these keyboards are not cheap)...
I can't understand why don't any keyboard manufacturer integrate this function in their keyboards as its quite common in game-pads.
