Any guide on how to install 295x2 quadfire step by step?

It's pretty simple, not a complicated mess.

Make sure you plug in both GPU's to their proper pcie slots. And put the Crossfire Bridge (if any) on the crossfireX fingers.
Then just find a place to put both of your radiators. If you have a standard case, then one should go on the rear exhaust and one as a bottom intake.

Hey guys.
Im using the Gigabyte Z97X SOC ( this one http://www.gigabyte.us/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4967#ov )

Which one would be the correct PCI-E slot?
Also, do i need the crossfire bridge? I've read somewhere that is not needed, but maybe that only applies to X99 mobos?

Thanks to both of you.

I have a 4690k OC'd to 4.5ghz. Temps are fine.
Do you think it will bottleneck the quadfire setup?

Also, do you know what would be the correct pci-e slot for the 2nd card? (I got the first one installed on the first orange pci e slot, at the top).
And finally, i do need to connect the two 8 pins from the psu to the second card, just like i did with the first one, right? And then just connect my hdmi cable to the Displayport-hdmi adaptor coming from the first card?
Is everything i said correct?

Thanks in advance!

Got it. So the the pci e that is immediately below the current card right?
Hope it fits tho.

And what about the psu connections? Just like the first one?

I have a 1080p monitor, but i still cant reach stable 60fps on some games.
I will wait before buying a 4k monitor, it seems too early for me.

My monitor is not great.
Its a viewsonic 1080p, 1ms response time.
But i can't reach stable 60 fps on some games, so i wanted to check how the performance would be with a second 295x2. I've read that some games improve, some don't. And that i would have to wait until some better drivers come out to see if theres a huge improvement.
Guess ill see.

Thanks man.

Hey,
First i had to install it on the third orange pci e port.
Couldnt install it on the second one because i would be blocking the fan of the first video card.
Been running some benchmarks on gta v, and to be honest, im not impressed at all. The difference is minimal (if theres any difference). I used the default settings that the game gave me. Tried to maximize msaa to 8x and was unplayable.
Still cant get constant 60fps overall. Kinda disapointing tbh.

My cpu is a i5 4690k on 4.3 ghz.
12 gb of ram 1333. Shitty brand.
Mobo gigabyte soc force z97
Psu corsair ax1500i
Ssd samsung 1tb 850 evo

Im using this until i get a new 5960x, then i will go x99.

The temps of the cards are normal. Highest are 55c or so.

UPDATE: its working even worse im some games now. Crysis 3 is giving me 25-30ish frames. I had around 55 before.

First replace that ram your running twelve on a z97 board tells me it's single channel and at 1333 it's low for the performance your trying to get. (Your running a major high end system) buy at least 1600 2 stick set of 8gbs at least. Next what are your settings in catalyst?

My settings in catalyst? Everything default.
Btw i made a new thread here if youre interested http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2613844/insanely-low-fps-quadfire-295x2.html
