Any idea how this mod is done?

In the first picture of this link, any idea where you can learn to do this or if you know how? I'm specifically interested in the bottom display as the top is just a 5.25" display

Top: AeroCool Gatewatch2 - Black Fan Controller
Bottom: A cheap android TurboTab C8 7" tablet. Using it with iDisplay from the Play Store.

In the pics, the tablet is just affixed to the front, but since then I've framed it for a cleaner look. In the photo, it is displaying a bunch of Windows Widget Bar widgets that display system specs (cpu/gpu freqs and temps, network traffic, drive stats, etc...)

easy, a tablet is hooked up and runs iDisplay which turns the tablet into another monitor, then he runs gadgets on there to show system info. Pretty much says it all right in the quote.

Any idea how he attached it to the case and hooked it up to the motherboard?

It's not hooked to the motherboard, read how the program works, it probably works over wifi or usb. As for how they mounted it to the case, I don't know. Duct tape, hot glue.
