Check if everything is connected properly.
How many Watt is your powersupply, it has to be atleast 300W.
Which heatsink are you using, and do you have casefans?
My case has so many fans that it hovers above the ground .
You didn't really answer the questions, so I'm still kinda operating in the dark here. I was hoping that you'd post some results. ESP tech support is difficult, friend.
Can you boot the machine with a floppy disk and reach a DOS prompt, or is there no display at all after the POST?
nothing's happening, except for hte spinning fans. the cd rom light is on the whole time, can't even eject a cd. there is no display or anything whatsoever, no boot up whatsoever, not even a BIOS screen
The IDE cables. Make sure the blue end is plugged into the mainboard, if the cable is ATA/66/100.
Reseat the video card.
Reseat the memory.
Check the monitor connector to the video card.
Make sure the monitor has power.
Question: How did you know that there was a 50 degree temperature reading in the BIOS if you can't enter the BIOS? Did the computer boot at first, and then stop?
i found out the 50 degrees before it got messed up. everything is done right, but it still won't work. i had an old computer that had the same problem, but i had to bring it to the store and they told me that i did the heatsink wrong.
Maybe taking this system to a local tech and having it looked at would be a good idea, if you've tried everything else. The board might have a short, or a component might be damaged. That would be my best suggestion. If a part does have a problem, if would be better to find out now than to spend a great deal of time troubleshooting and still end up not having it work.
