Hello,

I have recently bought a laptop (K3605ZU) from asus. Since it had an on-board ram an empty SO-DIMM slot, I decided to go dual-channel.

When I looked up for the information about the on-board ram so that I could get a ram stick that matches it, this is all I got:

And the fact that it runs at the speed of 3200Mhz according to the task manager.

When I looked up for the further information such as ram timing, I could not find any.

I would greatly appreciate for any information about this ram.

Thank you!

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

The laptop you own can be upgraded to 32GB's of ram. The fact that your platform's ram is DDR4 means you can only go as high as DDR4-3200Mhz, also due to the processors integrated memory controller.

Memory that's soldered onto the motherboard won't have latency information and even if you tried, you could match the memory's IC's that are soldered onto the board, unless you knew the OEM and their manufacturing plant to source said IC's to get ram made to spec.

I've been through Samsung's part finder but I got no results... can 'IC' be visually confirmed once the laptop is opened?
