Any interest in burgertime multigame with Ice Cream Factory?

I have Peter Pepper's Ice Cream Factory running in MAME on a bootleg
BurgerTime board. Is there any interest in putting BT and PPICF
together as a multigame? I guess theoretically at least any of the ~40
deco cassette games that are good dumps could be included. Any
interest in any of those or are they too rare to be of interest?

I'm interested, I would love to see those on a 40 multi pcb.

There wouldn't be all of them, just a select few and it would plug into
a burgertime board. I did once consider doing it on a deco board and
maybe doing all of them, but I don't think there's enough boards around
and the person here that I traded with never sent me the board to work
with anyway.

They don't natively run on a burgertime board, just halfway close. I
have to extract from the cassettes and fix them. So it's more a
question of how many am I willing to port. The answer is a few, kind
of depends on how many games people are interested in.

If you guys are interested in all of them then let me know, I need to
look at the real deco cassette boards instead of a burgertime addon.

What's what I would like, I don't even own a BT pcb, yet.
otherwise I would pick a few as you say and do the BT thing.
hopefully some more interest will chime in here.

I would buy ANY multikit that would run on a Midway Burgertime board.
Of course the more games the better.

What I'm talking about is basically a menu'd multipac for burgertime.
Believe it or not there are more games that will run on burgertime(with
some work) than there is on pacman, they just aren't well known or very
good in some cases. There are some cool original games in the list,
but they aren't well known. Cluster Buster is kind of neat. due to the
fact that it takes considerable work on my part to port the games
overthere would only be a couple of extra games though.

bump n jump and lock n chase are both similar enough to burgertime that
I don't think I would have any trouble getting them to run on a
burgertime board. I'm guessing it would be easier to start with the
non cassette versions of those two, but it's too early to say which
version it would be. Right now I just want to gauge the interest so I
can decide wether to do a prototype board when I make my next order.

Years back when I was growing tired of looking for a Lock N Chase I
began looking into getting it to run on a BurgerTime board and, yes,
it's actually not that far off. Fun game that few got the chance to
play, too.... a must for this idea.

I think it's a good one and wish ya luck with it. My biggest beef with
many multigame kits is that the games aren't that different from each
other. This one could be, similar to how the Williams one is.

if the multigame is good enough, i might look at doing some art work to
help your sales.

clay hardly sold any multi wms until we released art work to support
it. look how far its come!

This is a very cool idea. BT cabinets are relatively easy to come by
and always seem to be in great shape. It would move BT up my list of
wanted games. I am not overly famaliar with the games listed but here
is my list:

1. Bump and Jump
2. Lock and Chase
3. Disco #1 (if this is the game I am thinking of which is kind of like
qix, where you have to box in other dancers on the dance floor).
4. Super Astro Fighter- for variety

Agreed. Would you need to have a functional DECO cassette setup to play
these, or could the board play the ROMs from chips or memory?

Make it into an add-on pcb with a zif socket. Changing roms to change
games!. Love to see that.

I think the consensus is that Bump n Jump and lock n chase are must
haves. Count me in, I'd love to see this happen! Any idea of cost yet?

yes that's disco #1 iirc. Good gameplay but really cheesy.

I don't have any idea on the cost yet, it's really, really early, I
don't even have a prototype yet. I just wanted to see if I was
heading in the right direction or if I should be working it from the
deco tape machine replacement angle. Assume it's going to be expensive
though, since I'll probably have to install it for people.

Are you talking about the DECO cassette version or the bally midway
version? Since the cassettes are so prone to failure, a replacement
for the cassette/dongle would be very useful to alot of people, myself
included. I would love to help with the project and I know someone
else with some experience with the 6502 CPU that is intersted in doing
some kind of multigame for the DECO system.

I'm talking about the midway rom based board. From what I've seen so
far there doesn't seem to be much interest in fixing the cassette
system, seems like it would be easier and much more popular to port the
few games of interest from the cassette to run on midway hardware.

At one time I was interested in doing a solid state replacement for the
cassette and dongle but I don't think it would sell.

Thats too bad, I have a DECO cab sitting in my garage just waiting for
fix. It cries out to me while I'm playing Ms Pac Man in the other
corner.
