Is there any laptop that uses only the discrete graphics? Means, if a laptop has i7 processor and a gtx 980m then is there any laptop that only uses gtx 980m for all works. Not only while playing games. As normally laptops use integrated graphics for general purposes like watching movies and doing daily computing jobs except gaming, which is handled by the discrete one.
So my question is there any laptop that uses dedicated graphics only.
Because I don't want to bother with the switchable graphics settings in BIOS, even it doesn't work for me always.

Solution
If I am not mistaken, the Nvidia control panel allows you to always use dedicated graphics.
Presumably you would do this only while plugged in.
On my Lenovo Y700, I get the choice to use integrated/dedicated or auto for any or all apps.
not in this day and age - unless you get yourself a xeon based laptop and add a gaming card instead of a pro workstation card (like a GTX instead of a Quadro). Everything else out there seems to have integrated on chip graphics.

I know there's a setting in the control panel, but it sets the dedicated graphics to use only in certain scenarios. You don't get the point, i want to run my laptop display with the dedicated graphics, like we do in desktop.
